Sarah Hill
Dr. Sarah Hill (she/her) earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from East Tennessee State University in 2016. Her generalist training focused on integrated primary care and emphasized using evidence-based treatments, in particular CBT, MI, and third-wave approaches. Dr. Hill moved to Knoxville upon completing her Ph.D. and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Cherokee Health Systems, where she worked until November 2022. During her time at Cherokee, Dr. Hill developed a passion for working with adults with complex trauma and substance use disorders, although she is happy to work with any presenting concern with emerging adults and older. She provided individual and group supervision to practicum, intern, and postdoctoral trainees for 5 years while at CHS. Currently, Dr. Hill works part-time as a Staff Psychologist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, completing fitness for duty evaluations for individuals in safety-sensitive positions. She also maintains a small, virtual private practice working with adults. Her theoretical orientation has evolved from pure ACT to a more eclectic approach, borrowing heavily from interpersonal, humanistic, and feminist orientations.
