Dr Renee Repka received her PhD in Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Tennessee in 1991. She has practiced psychotherapy and psychological assessment at inpatient and outpatient settings as well as provided consultation for the Knox County School System and Tennessee School for the Deaf. Since 1992, Dr Repka has worked in independent practice seeing children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a variety of emotional difficulties. She is proficient in American Sign Language and has worked with students and faculty at the Tennessee School for the Deaf. Her psychotherapy orientation is predominantly psychodynamic, drawing heavily on object relations and interpersonal theories, and she works with patients in long term psychotherapy. Her supervisory interests include fostering an understanding of patient process in the psychoanalytic/psychodynamic tradition. She enjoys supervising clinical students in psychotherapy and psychological assessment.
