Dr. Christina Perkins is in her 12th year of clinical practice. She has worked for many years in community mental health practice here in Knoxville with sexual assault victim’s advocacy, worked in substance abuse services with women who were pregnant and parenting with substance abuse dependence issues. She has owned her own clinical practice here in town for almost six years. She specializes in working with developmental and complex trauma and anxiety disorders including OCD. Her population focus is primarily LGBTQIA2S+ clients and neurodivergent folks. Dr. Perkins is EMDR trained as well as finishing up Internal Family Systems Level 1 training this fall. She is currently an adjunct lecturer in the Social Work Master’s programs at UTK and atBoise State University where she teaches Advanced Clinical Practice Skills in their MSSW program. Dr. Perkins earned her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from UTK in 2021.
